Hume City Council organised a BBQ at Civic Plaza, Broadmeadows on White Ribbon Day. The community was invited to join in and support the Council's campaign to make "Hume community; free of all forms of violence against women. Violence against women - Hume says NO!”. 260 people attended the event.
In addition to the BBQ, the Council partnered with Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses on 6 October to produce special white ribbon cupcakes to the local community for a gold coin donation, raising over $2,000.
