White Ribbon Australia and The Institute of Managers and Leaders Australia team up for International Women’s Day
This International Women’s Day, White Ribbon Australia is proud to be the nominated charity partner of the Institute of Managers and Leaders Australia and New Zealand’s annual signature event, the International Women’s Day Great Debate, on Friday 8 March 2019 in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
With a sell-out event in Sydney and limited seats left in Brisbane and Melbourne, the event will be debating, “Her aspiration needs his cooperation” This ties in with International Women’s Day’s global theme, #balanceforbetter, in efforts to achieve a more gender-balanced world. Across the world – from the workplace to education to politics – women are still facing prejudice, intolerance and inequality in 2019.
White Ribbon Australia is honoured to have been chosen as the charity partner for this event. The International Women’s Day Great Debates provide a provocative, yet insightful, way to address gender inequality. On the Debate day, raffle tickets will be sold and all profits will be going to further extend our primary prevention work in schools, workplaces and communities across Australia. Through our programs and campaigns, we engage with men to be part of the social change needed to prevent men’s violence against women.
With limited tickets available for Brisbane and Melbourne, don’t miss your chance to see two teams of local business leaders and media personalities, comedically battle it out while they address feminism and the future. Tickets are available here.
White Ribbon Australia would like to thank all of our raffle prize donors for their support:
