Glauce arrived from her home country Brazil in Adelaide in 2015. Following 15 years of studies and experience as a psychologist she came to Australia in pursuit of postgraduate studies, inspiration, and personal growth.
Growing up in one of the most dangerous countries to be a woman, she witnessed and experienced firsthand the consequences of beliefs and social norms that place women in a highly vulnerable place to omission and abuse.
In Australia, having volunteered and worked for the past 5 years in mental health and community services spaces, Glauce got in contact with the broad and long-lasting impacts of domestic violence in the Australian society. Such experience, consolidated her passion for social justice and the commitment to advocate for the most vulnerable.
She joins White Ribbon as Primary Prevention Officer in South Australia bringing her passion, skills, and experience to build and strengthen local alliances focusing on preventing gender-based violence.
