Julie Jackman
Primary Prevention Officer
Julie’s lived experiences of intimate partner violence inspires her to make change. As a survivor, Julie has extensive experience working in the WA Family & Domestic Violence (FDV) sector supporting other survivors, as a refuge manager, service provider & advocate, she taught respectful relationships to high school students, and within a Peek-Body providing systemic change across WA communities.
Holding a Bachelor of Visual Arts, and a Graduate Diploma of Counselling from Edith Cowan University, she is passionate about her life-long art practice. Julie draws on both her qualifications to help others find a pathway out of oppression.
Julie dreams of a world where human dignity is the norm. She cultivates constructive strategies like the
Response-Based Practice
and fosters cultural responsibility & safety to inspire a more harmonious future for everyone.
Julie is excited to be working at White Ribbon Australia as a Primary Prevention Officer promoting gender equality within WA communities.
