Thank you for hosting a White Ribbon Australia event! Whether you’re hosting a morning tea, assembly, trivia night, gala dinner or sporting event, you’re helping end men’s violence against women in Australia.

We are so inspired by everything we’ve seen so far happening in schools, workplaces and communities. Sadly though, men’s violence against women is still a prominent issue.
 

6+ weeks out

• Work out exactly what your event will look like. Is it a community event? Who is speaking? What do you want to achieve?

• Set a budget to keep yourself on track.

 

4 weeks out

• Purchase White Ribbon merchandise to sell at your event such as ribbons or wristbands at store.whiteribbon.org.au

• Start to advertise your event with posters, social media tiles, newsletters and other resources.

• Coordinate any volunteers, suppliers, venues, etc.

 

2 weeks out

• You should now have everything organised. The next two weeks are for finalising details such as RSVPs, timelines, volunteers etc.

 

1 week out

• Print out/download any materials you may need from Event Resources including bunting, flyer and factsheets. Familiarise yourself with statistics about violence against women.
