Campaigns & Events
White Ribbon Australia delivers a range of campaigns throughout the year. These include:
- Awareness campaigns – to raise awareness of gendered violence.
- Community campaigns – to engage the community in preventing and eliminating gendered violence.
Friday 20 November 2020
White Ribbon Day is held on the last Friday before 25 November every year in Australia. This is a time where communities come together to stand up, speak out and act, and say ‘no’ to gendered violence in Australia.
Get involved by joining an existing event or hosting your own.
Globally, the 25th of November is the UN’s International Day for the Elimination of Men’s Violence against Women, which is the largest violence against women campaign and kicks off the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence and runs until 10 December, Human Rights Day.
It's time to put the elimination of violence against women firmly on the agenda in your community by organising a White Ribbon event - a march, meal, webinar, meeting or more - and invite people to join you in ongoing action. (Please adhere to appropriate COVID restrictions in your location)
