BeachCare at Currumbin White Ribbon Event
25 November 2017
Join us this Saturday to look after our dune site in Broadbeach! Don’t forget to wear closed toed shoes and a hat! Bring a water bottle too! No need to book your spot, just come along.
The Coastal Community Engagement Program interacts with all members of the community and want to support the initiative of White Ribbon Australia. We will aim to raise money by having community members work together in harmony whilst collecting rubbish and planting native species along the Currumbin Beach dune site.
BeachCare is a coastal community engagement initiative facilitated by the Griffith Centre for Coastal Management in partnership with the City of Gold Coast. The program aims to provide an opportunity for community members to participate in caring for their local coastal environments through the planting of native dune species, weed removal and litter collection and auditing.
Our volunteers enjoy the comradery of fellow enthusiasts and believe contributing to a healthy beach system (our backyard) is a great way to start a weekend.
Contact BeachCare to find out how you can join if your group is larger than 10 people or for more information email James Gullison(CCEP officer) firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 07 5552 8829.
