HURRIED STEPS a play by Dacia Maraini
25 November 2016
Mark White Ribbon Day 2016 with a performance of HURRIED STEPS by Dacia Maraini.
Amnesty International commissioned Italy’s leading writer to create a play to support their “Stop Violence Against Women & Girls” Campaign.
The play raises the question – Why is violence against women prevalent in all countries and cultures, and across all social, religious, geographical and racial groups? True stories are told originating from reports given by women all over the world, including Australia.
Insight, awareness and understanding are deepened by post-performance discussion between the audience and a panel of experts professionally engaged in the issues highlighted within the play.
