White Ribbon Morning Tea to support Lisa Devereaux on my Trek for Respect in support of White Ribbon Australia!

The Larapinta Trail is regarded as one of Australia’s premier walking tracks. From the old Alice Springs Telegraph Station to the peak of Mount Sonder, the trail stretches 223 kilometres along the backbone of the West MacDonnell Ranges.

The Trek for Respect aims to create a nation that respects women. By joining this week-long challenge, I aim to raise money to support White Ribbon projects aimed at young men, providing them with the knowledge and understanding to stop violence against women in their community and beyond.

My first challenge is to find 50 friends to sponsor me for $50. My goal is raise $10,000 for White Ribbon. $10,000 can challenge gender inequality by giving 800 primary school students the skills to understand gender stereotyping, the confidence to ‘expect respect’, and the means to safely navigate bullying and disrespect.
