Prevent men’s violence against women

Community Event

Rio Tinto and White Ribbon Luncheon

1 December 2017

11:00 am - 2:30 pm
The Arnhem Club, 1 Franklyn Street, Nhulunbuy, Northern Territory, 0880

At Rio Tinto Gove Operations safety is our number one priority and our commitment to zero harm doesn’t end when our people leave work at the end of each shift. We recognise that for anyone suffering domestic or family violence, having a supportive workplace makes a real difference and that is why in November 2015 Rio Tinto started the process of becoming a White Ribbon accredited workplace.

Unfortunately domestic and family violence is a pervasive issue in our community and it impacts our workplace and communities in which we operate. We have a role to play in developing an all-in approach to working towards eliminating violence against women, and in fact anyone.

Gove Operations intends to drive awareness and increase support for those affected. We hope that by hosting the first in a series of fundraising events, we can start making a real difference.
