USQ Purple Friday and White Ribbon Awareness Day
24 November 2017
USQ will be hosting a morning tea in support of Purple Friday and White Ribbon Awareness on Friday 24th November. We’ve combined the two campaigns as Purple Friday began as the brainchild of one of our local CEO’s in Toowoomba Chris Mills of Strategenics, who wanted to expand his involvement in raising awareness to start a viral movement of change by encouraging more open dialogue in workplaces and schools about the effects and causes of domestic and family violence. Guest speakers will include Chris Mills, a local Toowoomba Together representative and White Ribbon supporter.
We will be requesting donations for the morning tea go to Purple Friday and will offer White Ribbons to purchase and oaths for employees to sign. We encourage all photo’s to include both #dvpurplefriday and #usqwhiteribbon.
Event Price: $Free for USQ Staff
