Manager of Assessors and Assessment

This flexible role (3-5 days) provides for the management of the White Ribbon Australia Workplace Accreditation Assessor team and assessment process.

The Manager of Assessors will be:

The role provides support, professional development and leadership to the White Ribbon Australia Workplace Accreditation Program assessment process.  The Workplace Program provides a sustainable platform for Australian workplaces to raise awareness and understanding of the issues surrounding violence against women with the aim of changing attitudes and behaviours that allow it to occur in our communities. The program provides workplaces with the tools to respond effectively to incidents, whether they occur internal or external to the workplace.


After participating in the program for 18 months, workplaces undergo a thorough, independent accreditation assessment. This audit tests how well the organisations have met 15 separate criteria under 3 standards. The Manager of Assessors will lead this part of the process.


The position has responsibility managing a team of external assessors to ensure inter-rater reliability, quality management, and continuous professional development. The Manager of Assessors will be required to work with the Program Manager and Executive Manager to ensure assessments are scheduled in an efficient and timely manner and to be a subject expert in regards to development of program policies. This is a senior position within White Ribbon’s Workplaces Team.


This is a business focused role and requires experience of quality management/audit/assessment in workplaces.


This is not an adult education and training role.


Essential Selection Criteria

  • At least 5 years’ demonstrated experience in accreditation or quality assessment/audit.
  • Demonstrated experience in people and service management.
  • Ability to lead a team of contractors, including co-ordination and personal/professional development.
  • A commitment to inclusive practices that enhance access for people from CALD or ATSI backgrounds to services and participation in national campaigns.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work at the strategic national level and in working with advisory / reference groups.
  • Ability to prioritise and work collaboratively and flexibly to fulfil individual performance targets expectations.
  • High-level competency in Microsoft Office and data management.
  • High level of initiative particularly with regard to continuous improvement and innovation around delivery of assessments.
  • High standard of competency in all Microsoft Office applications
  • High level attention to detail.



  • Experience in community services or the not-for-profit sector.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Project/Program Management or equivalent.
  • Experience in community services or the not-for-profit sector.
