How long have you been a White Ribbon Ambassador?
More than 3 years now.
Why did you decide to become an Ambassador?
Anglicare WA has a strong role in responding to Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) issues in WA and this was another way to show leadership.
This role is also important in my personal life. I have daughters and granddaughters impacted by FDV.
In what ways have you been involved in the White Ribbon Campaign?
- Anglicare WA is now a White Ribbon Accredited organisation
- I speak at events in WA for White Ribbon
- I am on the Board of White Ribbon Australia
Why is Gender Equality important to you as an Ambassador?
Respect for women is a vital element of responding to FDV which ultimately is about attitudes and power and control.
What goals do you hope to accomplish as an Ambassador in the future?
Grow the number of White Ribbon Ambassadors and White Ribbon Accredited organisations in WA.
