Prevent men’s violence against women

Youth Survey

In 2014, White Ribbon Australia and Youth Action NSW asked young Australians for their views on domestic abuse, intimate partner violence and dating violence. Over 3000 young people shared their opinion through an online survey.

The survey results were analysed by researchers at the University of New South Wales to identify how age and gender play a role in young people’s understanding of domestic abuse, its causes and prevalence in Australia.

The survey also examined where young people get information about domestic abuse, intimate partner violence and dating violence, highlighting the critical role that schools play in educating young people to change attitudes and stop violence against women.
