Workplace Program Advisor

This role provides business development and caseload management for the Workplace Accreditation Program.

Workplace Program Advisors will proactively engage with organisations to start the program and co-ordinate those organisations’ progress towards assessment. They take workplaces from initial expression of interest to start on the program and onto accreditation.

 Workplace Program Advisors will be:

The role has responsibility for engaging new organisations onto the Workplace Accreditation Program and for managing those organisations’ progress towards accreditation. This role is fast paced, challenging and incredibly rewarding.  Advisors’ days will be varied and will include selling the program and negotiating with prospective participants via phone. Advisors work to targets. Other tasks will include liaising with managers from participating organisations, giving presentations to participants, coordinating best practice sharing sessions and much more.

The Workplace Program provides a sustainable platform for Australian workplaces to raise awareness and understanding of the issues surrounding violence against women with the aim of changing attitudes and behaviours that allow it to occur in our communities. The program provides workplaces with the tools to respond effectively to incidents, whether they occur internal or external to the workplace.

Workplace Program Advisors will play a key role in supporting organisations to help prevent men’s violence against women in Australia.

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Ability to work to and achieve performance targets.
  • Ability to carry out business development, including making speculative/cold approaches.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others and forge connections and collaborative partnerships with people from a wide variety of backgrounds that enhance organisational goals.
  • Experience of prioritising effectively, working collaboratively and flexibly.
  • Experience of relationship management, preferably in a service delivery environment.
  • Excellent presentation/group facilitation skills.
  • High level of verbal/written skills that can be tailored to audience.
  • High-level competency in Microsoft Office and data management.
  • Willingness to work outside of hours and travel inter and intra state.


  • Experience in community services or the not-for-profit sector.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Project/Program Management or equivalent.
  • Experience in community services or the not-for-profit sector.

This role is based in North Sydney and the salary band is from $70K – $75K (inclusive 9.5% superannuation).
